The new building JED 2226 is FREO’s first GreenOnly Development (GOD ) project development of a building with laboratory use on the ground floor and 1st floor, as well as office space with Net Zero Energy on the other floors.
Further projects as GOD GreenOnly Development with integrated building concept 2226 are planned.
The office spaces of the revolutionary building in Schlieren / Zurich manage without heating, ventilation and air conditioning installations. The office climate is self-regulated and sensor-monitored. This unique, sustainable building concept combined with the architecture enables far lower ancillary costs compared to conventional buildings.
The 2226 building concept is the brainchild of Professor Dietmar Eberle (baumschlager eberle architekten). He sums up the advantages of the revolutionary building concept: “It’s about comfort, energy savings and thus also economic benefits, which are merely the welcome consequences of our concept, which functions with a minimum of resources.”
The overall JED project is located at the gateway to Zurich and is embedded in an innovative business environment. It stands on the former site of the NZZ printing center at Schlieren railway station. Probably the most innovative office workspace in Switzerland will be created there by November 2024. JED offers unique office and laboratory rental space as well as a wide range of services and gastronomy.
The name JED aptly characterizes the newly emerging, sustainable office building. It stands for:
Join. Explore. Dare.
FREO Switzerland AG is looking forward to being able to continue to accompany such an innovative and sustainable project up close and to lead it to a successful conclusion.
